HILLTOP KNIGHTS MAKE PLAYOFFS WITH FINAL REGULAR SEASON SOCCER GAME WIN
The HILLTOP Knight's soccer team played their final regular season game on a cool, breezy Thursday, April 26th afternoon. It was a home game against the Rosebank Panthers. Going into the game, the Knight's had a record of 5 wins with 0 losses and 2 ties.
HILLTOP had several opportunities to score in the first few minutes on the game but the shots were either wide or high of the goal. At about 6 minutes into the game, the Rosebank Panthers struck first with a goal and went up 1-0.
"This game was a good test of our team's character," said head coach Bill Ricketts who also teaches 6th grade at HILLTOP. "We showed that we could come from behind to win a game."
The Knight's did all of the rest of the game's scoring and won by the score of 5-1. The first playoff game will be on Thursday, May 3rd at HILLTOP.
