HILLTOP KNIGHT'S SOCCER TEAM ADVANCES TO SEMI-FINALS
The HILLTOP Knights soccer team advanced to the district semi-final round by defeating the Valley Lindo Eagles by the score of 7-1. The Knights had played the Eagles in the regular season and won that game by the score of 6-0.
"Our team played great," said head coach Bill Ricketts. "They played with great intensity from the start of the game and that is waht made the difference."
As far as individual standouts during the game, Chris Tapia held the defense together and knew when to mvoe up the field and attack. His goals during the game lifted the Knights to the victory.
The HILLTOP Knights will play the Rice Roadrunners in the semi-final game on Thursday, May 10th at HILLTOP Elementary School. During the regular season, these two teams played and tied 2-2. It should be a great match up.
